Mohawk College Continuing Education is joining forces with Lighthouse Labs to make tech-enabled change a source of opportunity for all. Through ICT Boost, Mohawk College is providing opportunities for people from equity-deserving backgrounds who are keen to jump start their careers in the ICT sector. Facilitated by tech education leader Lighthouse Labs, and funded by the Government of Canada’s Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program (SWSP), ICT Boost will provide technical skills training in: Data Science and Web Development.
ICT Boost is about empowering and providing skills training to people across Canada from equity-deserving backgrounds wanting to work in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector. The program is offered to communities that have faced significant systemic inequality or other barriers to full and equal participation in the labour market and society. The ICT Boost initiative is funded by the Government of Canada’s Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program (SWSP). Tech education leader Lighthouse Labs through ICT Boost will lead a consortium of partner post-secondary institutions, as well as industry and community organizations, to bring the program to life. The program will equip over 1,700 individuals with the skills needed to thrive in the ICT sector.
Upon graduation, you’ll receive an Acknowledgement of Completion from Mohawk College Continuing Education and a diploma from Lighthouse Labs demonstrating your newly developed, industry-focused skills to potential employers. Plus, lifetime career support from Lighthouse Labs to launch your career, including 1 to 1 consultation, employer matching and more.

Data Science Bootcamp
This accelerated, 12-week data science program gives you the fundamental knowledge, real-world experience, and critical soft skills you need to kickstart a rewarding career as a data analyst. In this intense, immersive environment, you’ll dive into modules on data visualization, machine learning, statistical modelling, data engineering, and much more. Throughout your studies, you’ll also have access to on-demand mentorship from industry professionals.

This accelerated, 12-week web development program gives you the fundamental knowledge, real-world experience, and critical soft skills you need to kickstart a rewarding career as a full-stack developer. In this intense, immersive environment, you’ll dive into modules on front-end fundamentals like JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, software architecture, databases and data modelling, component-based design, and much more. Throughout your studies, you’ll also have access to on-demand mentorship from expert web developers.
